Daily Prompt: Tattoo…. You?

pad2015-s1.png (308×60)

Do you have a tattoo? If so, what’s the story behind your ink? If you don’t have a tattoo, what might you consider getting emblazoned on your skin?

I do not have a tattoo and have no desire to have one in the near future.

I wear a wrist watch on my left wrist, and bangles on my right. I think it’s sufficient decoration for my wrists. As far as the neck I wear a chain which has an Allahu  pendant attached which I love.

My hair doesn’t need to be adorned. My shoes make my feet attractive. My clothing beautifies my form. It gives me pleasure to give due respect to my figure.  🙂

Do you have a tattoo? If so what’s the story behind your ink? If you don’t what might you consider getting emblazoned on your skin?

No, I do not have a tattoo. I looked up tattoo and here is what it tells me: It’s a form of body modification made by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment.

My main problem is the indelible ink used for a tattoo, it means it’s permanent.

Every year I have a flu’ shot to be immune from the disease. I happily let the physician insert the needle with the fluid it helps me from cold, cough and all the other related problems.

Why would I let anyone insert indelible ink into the dermis layer of my skin, it doesn’t prevent me from any sickness, furthermore the indelible ink that is inserted do we know if it is safe for us, it also says it changes the pigment.

There is a reason why the color of our skin is dark, light and so on.

Human beings come in a glorious spectrum of different colors: light, dark, plain or freckly skin. It’s amazing to note that most of this color is attributed to a single class of pigments: the melanins.

There is a striking correlation between geographic conditions, particularly exposure to sunlight, and skin tone.Early humankind living in sun-soaked Savannah plains of Africa developed a a dark-toned skin, rich in the pigment melanin. Within the cells, melanin concentrates above the nucleus, shielding the vital DNA from radiation damage.

In an environment where there is little to break the path of sunlight onto the skin, this barrier is a great advantage. Higher concentration of melanin also boosts the immune system.

After finding out a bit about pigment I know I do not like the idea of a tattoo or consider getting emblazoned on my skin!
