এ পথে আমি-যে গেছি বার বার, ভুলি নি তো এক দিনও ।
আজ কি ঘুচিল চিহ্ন তাহার, উঠিল বনের তৃণ ।।
তবু মনে মনে জানি নাই ভয়, অনুকূল বায়ু সহসা যে বয়-
চিনিব তোমায় আসিবে সময়, তুমি যে আমায় চিন ।।
একেলা যেতাম যে প্রদীপ হাতে নিবেছে তাহার শিখা ।
তবু জানি মনে তারার ভাষাতে ঠিকানা রয়েছে লিখা ।
পথের ধারেতে ফুটিল যে ফুল জানি জানি তারা ভেঙে দেবে ভুল-

I have traveled this path again and again,

Not a day have I forgotten.

Today its sign has disappeared,

Thick grass has taken its place.

In my mind I know, there is nothing to fear,

Favorable wind,blows unexpectedly-

A time will come when I will recognize you,

Because you know me.

The lamp I carried on my lonely walks

Has lost its flame.

Still my heart tells me

the stars have its address in their language.

On the side of the path the flowers that have blossomed

Will correct my mistake,

With their secret soft aroma merged in the sign.

My lover

The sky is crying in alarm,

I cannot sleep–

I open the door my dear,

I look out again and again.

Five sentence fiction: Luminous

She was down in the dumps after her father died, she felt she was surrounded by darkness.

Her friends came to console her, she sent them away, one by one all her friends left her, she didn’t care, she was unhappy and didn’t think anyone or anything could make her happy.

Then one day she saw a bright light coming towards her, it startled her, she attempted to run away, the light kept coming towards her,”go away she cried, leave me alone!”

To her dismay she saw the light changing into a human form, a gorgeous woman, who smiled and said, “I know what’s troubling you my dear child, you cannot spend your youth crying for someone who is gone, by doing so you’re making your father unhappy too, you have to learn to let it go, come with me I’ll show you the way to happiness.”

Realizing it was her only chance to be happy she followed the woman who at once  transformed into a bright light and led her to the path of happiness!
