Daily Prompt: Unpopular
Tell us about a time when you had to choose between two options, and you picked the unpopular choice.
There are many restaurants in my city. Some are filled with people,you literally have to be in a long line, wait to be seated, if you are lucky, you could be waiting for 45 minutes. We went to one of these so called restaurants to have a relaxing meal.The long line up took away my enthusiasm to wait for 45 minutes. I did a calculation in my head, wait to be seated 45 minutes, order 10 minutes, meal to be served in another half hour or more. Eighty-five minutes, I thought was too long. I turned around and went to one that was ready to serve me.
I chose one that was almost empty, their menu looked good, the waiters were pleasant, we ordered our meal, it was served within half hour, the place was clean, the food was tasty and the service was the best. I decided that day, not all the eateries are awful, and one cannot count on places to serve tolerable meal even if they are crowded i.e popular.
We had a decent meal, the food tasted good what else can I expect?
To me popular equals more people along with germs, and chef and waiters hurriedly serve food that may or may not be so good.It’s more than likely I’d choose an unpopular restaurant any day.

Thank you for this post. Like you, I will choose a restaurant for reasons other than its so-called popularity. While in some eating establishments, the food may not be quite as tasteful as in another, the atmosphere may, though, be far more compatible for peaceful, friendly dining.

I agree with you Ranu. I avoid the popular restaurants when the quieter ones are friendly and have decent food. Happy 2016 to you. I haven’t been at home so difficult to come online.

My sister and her family have come over so we are all camping out at my parents place. Been so much fun. School has just reopened but girls refuse to return home 🙂 Anyway it’s just a few more days.
